Why Chiang Mai became One of famous Flower Festivals in the World.....

The Chiang Mai Flower Festival has been running for over 45 years and celebrates the beautiful flowers in bloom during this time. The festival runs over 3 days at the start of February each year and draws thousands of visitors to Chiang Mai. There is a traditional dress that represents Chiang Mai. And there are also performances in the procession which reflects the beauty of Chiang Mai as a flower export city.

You get to witness one of the world’s greatest flower festivals because Chiang Mai is an exporter of flowers abroad and in a way gets to truly explore the traditions of Chiang Mai city. Apart from the flower gardens, there are many food vendors, local shops around where you can buy some souvenirs, clothes, etc. to take back with you.
